The ESVS 2019 - 33rd Annual Meeting of the European Society for Vascular Surgery, Hamburg, Germany, 24 - 27 September 2019 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 23 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
For German Participants
The ESVS 2019 – 33rd Annual Meeting of the European Society for Vascular Surgery has been accredited by the “Ärztekammer Hamburg” with 33 credits. German Participants are kindly asked to bring their barcode label in order to obtain the credits via EIV (Elektronischer Informationsverteiler).
Application for Mobile Devices
The ESVS Society App is a 365 days app which will provide valuable information about ESVS throughout the year. The yearly congress app is available within the society app and will allow participants to navigate through the entire scientific programme, access the abstracts being presented, locate exhibitors and to create a personalised itinerary.

Access to the congress is only possible with your personal name badge. Please always wear your badge! If you forget your badge, we can reprint it for a deposit of € 30. The deposit will be returned once you show that you still have both badges, of which we will keep one. If you lost your badge or do not show both badges anymore, € 30 will be charged.
CME certificates will be delivered after the Congress via email only after completing the evaluation and credit claiming procedure. This process will take 5-10 minutes to complete and all responses will be collected anonymously. Participants will automatically receive a link to the online evaluation and credit claiming system after the Congress. Printed certificates of attendance will not be available onsite.
For any name change, a fee of € 50 is charged. Onsite changes of name badges or email addresses for the certificate mailing due to incorrect submission will be charged € 10.
A cloakroom is available to keep your coats and luggage. It is located in the entrance area and is free of charge for delegates and exhibitors.

ePoster Presentations and ePosters Area
There are two ePoster presentations rounds during lunch time from 13.00 – 14.00 in Hall A4 on Wednesday, 25 September and Thursday, 26 September 2019.
The ePosters Area will remain open throughout the congress and all ePosters are accessible on all screens.
ESVS Academy Workshops
From Wednesday, 25 September to Thursday, 26 September, various workshops will be offered in Hall A3.

For onsite registration or questions, we kindly ask you to visit the ESVS Academy Helpdesk located at the entrance of Hall A3.
After the congress, you will receive an email with a request to fill in an online survey. Please take a moment to complete the questionnaire. Your answers will be used to evaluate the scientific content of the programme in order to continuously improve it for future meetings.
The printed Final Programme gives you an overview of the scientific programme and all most important information at a glance. Further details are available in the app.
The industrial exhibition is located in immediate vicinity to congress activities such as lecture halls and catering areas. Companies from all over the world are given many opportunities to display their latest products, services and technical innovations.
The congress organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to conference participants, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your own insurance.
The official language of the Annual Meeting is English. No simultaneous translation will be
provided except the translation for the nurses sessions from 25-26 September from English into German.

Photography / Electronic Recordings
Taking photographs and electronic recordings of the slides or a presentation with a camera or mobile device is strictly prohibited in all lecture halls during all sessions.
The participant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge damage claims against the organisers should the holding of the congress be hindered or prevented by unexpected political or economic events or generally by force majeure, or should the non-appearance of speakers or other reasons necessitate programme changes. With his/her registration, the participant accepts this proviso.
By accepting the general terms and conditions, the participant declares that he/she agrees to its personal and company data being processed by Congrex Switzerland, may be forwarded to the sponsors and exhibitors of the congress and that this data may be used for information purposes on congresses and events in related fields organized by Congrex Switzerland. In the opposing case, the participant notifies Congrex Switzerland in written within 5 working days after the registration.
Scanning of your Badge
Participants are not obliged to allow exhibitors to scan their badge in the exhibition area or when entering an industry symposia. Participants must show their badge as proof of access rights, but do not need to allow a company to scan it. With allowing a company to scan, you acknowledge that your registration details will be forwarded to the exhibitor.

Speaker Service Center (SSC)
The Speaker Service Center (SSC) is connected to the lecture rooms in halls A3 and A4. All speakers with presentations inside halls A3 and A4 are asked to hand in their PowerPoint presentations at the SSC at least 1 hour before the start of their lecture. All speakers are encouraged to use the Official ESVS PowerPoint Template, which can be downloaded here.

Join us, running (or walking!) through the green spaces of Hamburg in the elegantly designed botanical gardens of the Planten and Blomen Park! Refreshments will be waiting for you at the finish line.
All the participants of the charity run are asked to buy an ESVS running t-shirt to take part in the run. The t-shirts can be bought at the ESVS Booth as of the first day of the congress as well as at the start area of the run. Funds raised will be donated to the following project from the German Vascular Society: POD Registry Support.
